Dryer Vent Cleaning
Main Reasons for Cleaning
Your Dryer Vents:
Avoid a potential home fire
Extend the life of your clothes dryer
Save energy (and money)!!!
How We Clean Your Dryer Vents:
We will safely move the clothes dryer away from the wall
We will then attach our Air Compressor (to blow air out) to the vent
Using dryer vent rods and brushes attached to our drill, we will navigate through the vent moving in and out repeatedly while the air compressor continues to blow the lint out.
Our rods are very flexible and can navigate several 90 degree turns, allowing us to remove any lint and/or other debris stuck on the vent lining.
This method has proven to be extremely effective and is the most common practice used among certified chimney and vent cleaners.
When to Clean Your Dryer Vents
Cleaning your dryer vents is one of the most important, and yet commonly overlooked, tasks you can do as a homeowner. Year after year, people replace perfectly good clothes dryers, rather than cleaning their dryer vents, because they are convinced it no longer works.
A good way to measure whether or not you may need your dryer vent cleaned is if it takes more than one cycle for your clothes to dry. If so, the problem could be excess lint clogging your vent. While most lint is caught by the lint trap, over time an excess amount can build up and obstruct the dryer vent circulation. Having a clogged dryer vent not only increases the amount of time it takes your clothes to dry (as seen in your increased utility bill!), but given the high flammability of lint, it is also the reason for thousands of home fires every year.
